May 5th Theme – Cinco de Mayo
Cinco de Mayo is approaching, and New London restaurants are gearing up with special deals to celebrate. This holiday originally commemorates the Mexican army’s victory over the French empire at the Battle of Puebla on May 5th, a relatively small holiday in Mexico. However, American culture has adopted it as a day to celebrate Mexican American culture, indulging in tacos, margaritas, and beers.
