New London Pirate Night August 17, 2024

Ahoy, fellow adventurers! Step into the legendary world of Captain Kidd and the thrill of pirate escapades! Put on your finest pirate garb and gather ’round at Parade Plaza by the Pirate Ship for a delightful photo op. Plus, get ready for an epic costume contest for both young buccaneers and seasoned sailors.

Mix and mingle with our lively crew of swashbucklers, savor a sea shanty or two, and dive into discussions about uncovering hidden treasures as we unveil clues on the thrilling New London Pirate Adventure Map.

Ahoy, me hearties! The rowdy Bawdy Buccaneers are plotting a course for the New London Pirate Festival on August 17th, right at Parade Plaza!

Embark on a musical journey with Captain Lance D. Boyle of the Picaroon Princess and his trusty First Mate & “Cruise Director,” Truly Scrumptious. They’ll drop anchor with their vessel, The Picaroon Princess, at New London Parade Plaza, ready to welcome fellow pirates. Join in the merry exchange of tales and treasures, belt out beloved pirate tunes, or even pick up a new melody or two.

Niantic Children’s Museum – free pirate hat making for children’s

NL Youth Affairs– will be passing out Pirate themed children’s books for free for children to take home.

 Thames River Water Taxi Hop on Hop off   will be offering a special discount for those dressed up as pirates for Pirate Fest:

Adults: $7.50 – 50% off regular fare of $15 if dressed as pirate

Children: Free (normally $7.50) if dressed as pirate

Discounted tickets available for purchase on the boat.

Flavours of Life, The Fair Trade Store – Treasure Chest Guess-Guess how many  “Gold” coins in the pirate’s treasure chest and win a  Flavours of Life Pirate Goodie Bag!

Thames river Gallery – Lighthouse Inn providing Lighthouse Inn famous lobster bisque and chicken satays and GALLERY GROG. Live music by Pfred Mileski.  She is the wife of prominent New London artist Brad Guarino whose work is on display in the gallery.  She is appearing from 7:00 – 9:00 and is a treat to be savored and worth waiting for until 7:00.  She’s quite acclaimed as you can see what Rick Koster had to say about her.

A new artist STEVE CRYAN from Old Saybrook with select works of some very recognizable landmarks will be on display as well as Harry Thomas MSW author of “Peace By the Sea” will be signing his two books.
